First and most importantly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who entrusted me and gave me the opportunity to serve you as your President for the term 2014 to 2016 as once again the baton is passed. I am humbled that you would place your faith and trust in me. It is truly a distinct honor and privilege. This is a responsibility that I do not take lightly, and I will strive my very best to represent you with the outmost prominence and prestige.
As the new President of PNANJ I am excited to lead the journey.
I strongly believe an obligation to care for the continued growth of PNANJ and make it the professional organization of choice for Filipino nurses. I am dedicated to the development of effective leadership and mentoring programs that can only help create an even stronger group of professionals ready to tackle all types of challenges and adversities.
We must promote attentiveness to the needs of the communities we serve as well address concerns that affect our members. It is through this commitment to help others that we can, and not just our own.
We must foster a united front in the representation of our association and nurture respect for each other. The strength of PNANJ depends on the fellowship and regard of the leaders to each other and to the membership. Together we will develop strength amongst ourselves, respond to change, and overcome adversities.
PNANJ is an organization continuously evolving, advancing, and experiencing tremendous organizational growth. It is only through the allegiance and devotedness of our members and Executive Board that we could sustain its growth and we MUST keep this momentum going.
There’s a saying that good ideas are not adopted automatically. They must be driven into practice with courageous patience. I believe that patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success. I believe in the Philippine Nurses Association of New Jersey.
Thank you.
At Your Service,
Belle M. Villafuerte
President PNANJ
